The 3 Vallées ski area is constantly evolving. This season features major upgrades to the lift system that you should note before heading out:
Picnic & Photo Spots: Look for the new “Giant Heart” photo point and picnic area at the summit of the Col de la Chambre, accessible via the new Côte Brune lift.
New Côte Brune Gondola: The iconic chairlift linking Méribel-Mottaret to the Col de la Chambre (and on to Val Thorens) has been replaced by a state-of-the-art 10-seater gondola. It’s faster, warmer, and significantly reduces queues.
Rhodos Gondola Makeover: The Rhodos I and II lifts have been fully renovated with new cabins and modernised stations, providing smoother access to the Altiport beginner zones.
Updated Mont Vallon Runs: Note on the map that the legendary red runs at Mont Vallon have been tweaked for better flow—always check the latest symbols for current difficulty ratings.
Sitting at the heart of the Three Valleys, Méribel (1,450m–1,700m) offers more than 150km of local pistes.
| Feature | Details |
| Number of Pistes | 64 (8 Green, 25 Blue, 24 Red, 7 Black) |
| Highest Point | 2,952m (Mont Vallon) |
| Vertical Drop | 1,852m |
| Lift System | 42 lifts, including high-speed ‘Express’ chairlifts |
The Méribel Mini-Pass is perfect for those staying in the lower valley (Brides-les-Bains to Mottaret). This map highlights a reduced area focused on gentle green and blue runs, ideal for building confidence without paying for the full 3 Vallées pass.

With a single pass, you unlock 600km of interconnected runs. 85% of the ski area is located above 1,800m, ensuring excellent snow reliability from December to April.
If you are new to the French Alps, the color-coding system is your best friend:
Pro Tip: Check the 3 Vallées App for real-time updates. It shows which lifts are open, which slopes were groomed overnight, and provides live webcam feeds to check visibility before you drop in.
You don’t need to be a skier to enjoy the breathtaking panoramas of the French Alps. The 2026 3 Vallées Footmap highlights the specific lifts and trails accessible to those on foot, ensuring everyone can meet up for a mountain lunch or a sunset drink.

For those utilizing the Footmap, Hotel Les Grangettes offers a significant advantage. Because the hotel is located at the Chaudanne hub, you are steps away from the main pedestrian-accessible gondolas. This allows non-skiers to effortlessly access the mountain trails or meet their skiing friends for après-ski at Jack’s Bar at the end of the day.
To maximize your ranking for “Meribel Piste Map” and convert that traffic into bookings, you should place a “Where to Stay” section directly beneath the maps.
Adding a mention of Hotel Les Grangettes is a smart move; it’s widely considered the most strategic base in the valley because of its proximity to La Chaudanne (the main lift hub where the piste map routes converge).
If you want to spend less time walking and more time exploring the runs on your map, Hôtel Les Grangettes is the ultimate choice.
Local Insight: “Staying at Grangettes means you’re the first on the lifts every morning. When the 2026 crowds are waiting for the bus, you’ll already be halfway up Saulire.”
